Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and password (encrypted). This information is necessary to provide our services and manage your account.
Design Data
We store the puzzles you create, including images, cut patterns, and design preferences. This allows you to access your creations across devices and enables marketplace functionality.
Payment Information
Payment processing is handled securely through Stripe. We do not store your full credit card information. Stripe provides us with a tokenized identifier and transaction details necessary for order fulfillment and creator payouts.
Usage Analytics
We collect anonymized analytics data to understand how our platform is used and to improve our services. This includes page views, feature usage, and general interaction patterns—never specific content of your designs.
How We Use Your Information
Service Delivery
We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve Next Piece services, including AI generation, puzzle cutting, order fulfillment, and marketplace operations.
Creator Payments
When your designs are purchased, we use your account and payment information to calculate and distribute royalties according to our marketplace terms.
Communication
We may send you service-related emails, such as order confirmations, creator earnings reports, and important account updates. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.
Platform Improvement
Anonymized, aggregated data helps us understand usage patterns, fix bugs, and develop new features that benefit our community.
Data Protection & Security
Encryption
All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard SSL/TLS protocols. Passwords are hashed and salted using modern cryptographic algorithms.
Access Controls
We implement strict access controls ensuring that only authorized personnel can access user data, and only when necessary for service delivery or support.
Data Storage
Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase and Vercel, with regular backups and redundancy measures to prevent data loss.
Third-Party Services
We carefully vet all third-party services (Stripe for payments, Replicate for AI processing, etc.) to ensure they meet our security standards and comply with data protection regulations.
Your Rights & Control
Access & Download
You can access all your puzzle designs and account information at any time. Upon request, we can provide a complete export of your data in a portable format.
Deletion
You can delete individual puzzles or your entire account at any time. Upon account deletion, we remove your personal information within 30 days, retaining only what's necessary for legal compliance (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes).
Correction
You can update your account information, email preferences, and creator profile at any time through your account settings.
Opt-Out
You can opt out of marketing communications while still receiving essential service notifications. Analytics tracking can be blocked using standard browser tools.
Marketplace & Public Designs
Public Listings
When you list a design on our marketplace, certain information becomes public: the design image (preview), title, description, and your creator username. This is necessary for the marketplace to function.
Private Designs
Puzzles you create for personal use remain private and are never shared or used without your explicit consent.
AI Training
We do NOT use your designs to train AI models. Your creative work is yours alone and will never be used to generate content for others without your permission.
Additional Information
Children's Privacy
Next Piece is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
International Users
Next Piece operates globally. Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with this policy and applicable laws.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through a prominent notice on our platform. Continued use of Next Piece after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
